If they make the nose less flat, DC will be on track, just add the Go-Wing and Hemi billboard on the quarter panel and paint it Plum Crazy purple. Although, should it be That Retro, the debate will go on...

Woaahhhhh! I leave for five minutes and the Mustang fanboys get their panties in a wad! You guys don't have a clue...

I wasn't talking about the 6.1L. I was talking about the 6.4L that debuted at SEMA not too long ago(weeks I think). The engine is slated to go in the Challenger first. Period.

Second of all, the Viper is putting out quite a bit more horsepower than 505. Under the new SAE measuring system, it gained like 30 horses. And I'm positive that if Ford does end up beating the Challenger with anything other than the GT, DC WILL shove the V10 into the Challenger. I think that Ford's technicians must not be very good if all they can do with that modern, blown, DOHC 5.4L is mid 500-horsepower figures. Did you guys know that the Viper V10 is based off of the old LA V8 block? What about the fact that it is an OHV 20-valve NA motor? DC apparently does need a blower, and neither does Chevy.

And how do you guys know my financial situation? I could very well ending up owning a top-model Challenger and go to each one of your houses and bury any car YOU own.
And then make fun of you.
But the point here is that Mustang is going down. Heaven forbid you admit that it has competition...
The GTO? No it isn't competition cuz it costs more...
puhleeez....The Ford fanboyism is killing me...

i dont see how they could build an affordable 505 hp car. the cars now that have that kinda hp dont come for less the 70 grand or so so it seems unlikely that they would produce a normal model for all out production. they might end up being like most top end cars, numbered and low quantities made but a high price. i dont like them, the whole neo-retro is old now because of so many companies making ugly ass remakes, the only 2 good ones were the gto and the 05 mustangs.

Ummm,, have you check the displacement on these engines (8.1 liter for Viper, and 7.0 for Z06). Who needs a blower when you have all that displacement?

Rocking an 9 year old ford contour, we can probably assume you are not in the market for a hypothetical 6.4 liter Challenger.

What competition? Challenger is a concept.

madmerc...the ford fanboyism is killing you huh?????your outrageously retarted comments are killing us....

first of all this challenger isn't even for certain going to be built, but yet you say in your post that its a "FACT" that it will have a 6.4 in it,yet the article says otherwise....ooooh wait you must be a secret insider in the chrysler camp...

YOU are the one that brought up the mustang in the first place, not us,YOU are trying to compare a car that isn't even made to one that you just so happen to hate.......

and from previous posts, and particularly this one of yours its obvious that you have no clue about anything automotive,so your comments don't really mean much...your posts in this thread are making you look more and more foolish...

you sound like a 2nd grader, ooooh when i get me a challenger i am going to go to everybodies house and whoop their cars... do you realize how ridiculous that sounds????,and that no matter how fast you think you are there is always someone faster out there...btw by the time you own this challenger i will either have alot of money in my 95 gt,whiich would really make you cry if you got beat by a 95 model....or i'll hopefully own a modded terminator,or new shelby cobra,so bring it.....or why don't you just bring what you got now,oh yeah you drive an atx zetec

if i was driving around in a weak car,and thought i was cool because i can do a brake torque burnout,i would probably have mustang penis envy too....but i'd really like to get down to the bottom of your mustang hatred...and as far as your gto comments, wow it does cost more like you said, and it is still only a couple ticks faster,so what's your point???

i certainly hope they build this challenger,i happen to like it,and it brings back high school memories of working on my buddies 70 model...i think it would be great for the musclecar wars, maybe that will make gm get off its butt and build another real musclecar, because i honestly don't see the gto being arund much longer...

If Dodge does release this 6.4L Hemi into the Challenger, it will be detuned, most likely to around 450-460hp. I just think it's too big to compete with the Mustang. It is also guarunteed that the Challenger will be more expensive just like it was back in the old days.

Time and time again you prove you are a moron. Period.

DC and GM are refining pushrod motors and getting the most out of them true. Ford chose another route in the smaller, higher-winding, more technologially advanced route in the modular engine family, which has finally just started to gain its wind thank God. What you are failing to realize is bang for the buck. It takes more money to get a decent amount of HP out of an N/A pushrod motor than it would the blown modulars. Period. For less than 1000 you can have a TRUCK that runs mid 12s and is dead reliable. What other brand than Ford can you do that in? None. In the 03/04 Cobra for a bit more you can run mid 11s dead realiable. What other brand can you do that in? OH thats right NONE.

And if your 'financial' sitaution was so good you wouldn't be driving a ATX Zetec with white lettered tires on it and surfing a contour board.

And please, come to my house and 'own' my DD 5k truck. I'd like to see that please. K thank.
