That whole last bit was basicly setting up the next season IMO. Titus with his slave girl-o-love walking hand in hand, Verenus' wife doing a back flip off of the second story and then having the reason walk in as he's holding her corpse, ect....
Very good end to the first season, minus Caesar's death.
