Hey guys its been a while since I've been on here. I sold the 3L to a friend up here in lansing and bought a X-Type. Hey similar platform w/ AWD, why not? Well I've taken on a new task of building my brothers SVT Focus. Last I knew Terry Haines was able to do quaife instals. I was wondering if any of you guys had contact information, or any suggestions on where to get it done at. Any where in MI really, I have the tranny out an all so its no problem transporting it. I got mine done by some guy in MI but they closed so I need to find a new place. Post on here where you got your diff's installed and how much you were charged. Thanks guys. Oh plus its the Getreg 6 speed but I don't think that'll make much difference.

hey tyler, what do you think of the x-type? it's always been on my radar for a future purchase.

Well so far I like it. The main reason I got it though is mostly because of AWD. I only got the 2.5 so its slow goings from now on, plus it has an auto. I've been doin a little research and found they made some majr changes between the 03 and 04 models so if you were to get used get an 04 an up. Ofcoarse I didn't know this till after I got my 03. I haven't had problems or anything i just heard there were some refinment issues that were delt with in 04 so whatever. Fuel mileage could be a lil nicer. Sense I drive like a grandpa now I can barely get 25 mpg split highway city driving. The ride is so nice though. Not a handler by anymeans but just a nice ride. I can't wait till we get some decent snow to see how this awd does.

They're not that bad at all to do. Just make sure you shim the bearings correctly and you have no worries.

Can we see some pics of it. BTW, the 3.0L/MTX/sport package in British Racing Green would be my choice for the X-type BTW, I can't resist this one, I'd love to "freshen" that ride up for you in the spring

Roger I agree the British racing Green, with the 3.0 MTX and sport package would be the top choice. plus through in some Arden performance parts, calls for a change of pants. The only things I have done to it so far are the chrome grills and HID's. Next is the front lip spoiler from the sport package plus the spoiler. I know you guys don't want to here it, but yes, 20's are coming in the spring. Roger you'll be my first call in the spring so you can work your magic!!
