umm i heard the same thing to but i think its called a Transmission Range Sensor , they are known to go out on CD4E transmissions , they cause irractic shifting and such so i think i pretty much answered my own question im gunna get one 2marrow from ford for like 52.00 dollars , just do a search for Tranmission Range Sensor and it should help you get a better image , for what its there for
