I just stored my car for the winter, and unfortunately it's outdoors. I put fuel stabilizer in it,removed the battery and have it covered up. It is parked on gravel and I have tarps over the wheels so the snow doesn't get all over the brakes, and since it is parked outside,I left it in gear, rather than using the e-brake incase it sticks. I also had an oil change done, and only have like 200km into the new oil,but I only did the oil change because I was supposed to be driving the car for the winter.
Good idea about the baking soda. I might have to do that. I'm not really concerned too much about the snow getting under the car, because in the spring the motor is being pulled and rebuilt,& body & paint is being done.
I also just have the car parked on the ground on stock steelies with balding crappy tires that I don't care if they go flat.
