Okay, I've seen the "how-to" on the led switch. But honestly, it made no sense to me. The other day, I got into my door to do something, and just looked at the switches to see what I would be working with when the time came to put in the leds. Okay, when I pop out the window switch, it has a plug. I unplug that and just have the switch in my hand. That is where the light is that lights it? Right?? When I pop that open it reveals the bulb. Where do I go from there?
So far so good. Once you pop open the switch, be careful because you don't want to loose the brass contacts that are in the top of the switch, they will fall out though. you will see a tiny led and a resistor, best thing is to have your new led and resistor already soldered together. (long lead (anode)of led to the resistor. Then you can just remove the old resistor, remember the way it was installed and isntall your new one. depending on the size of the new led, you might have to alter the plastic mounting area that the led sits on and possibly the hole in the top of the switch that the led goes through to light it up.
