For anyone who doesn't know, that thing is supposed to be straight! No wonder my wheels had been so far forced out of alignment! It's riding a lot better now, though I still have to replace the bushings on the front lower control arms.



I would guess that the bend came from someone trying to jack up the car from the wrong place. A tire shop did that to mine, but more near the middle of the arm. I noticed it immediately and went back. They were able to bend the arm back straight and they performed a four wheel alignment while I watched.
