I think contrary to what so many of your are saying, there is somewhat of an 'absolute truth' to what is tasteful on a car. I agree that a lot of time and money was spent on those cars, and they are definitely original, but who wants to be original if you have to do THAT?

Instead we got a movie about Stock honda civics WITH a muffler, spoiler, and underbodies! True race car! Seriously. Honda needs to find who was in charge of putting civics in the first movie and....like...i don't even know. What they did for Honda is immeasureable.

The only time you saw honda civics in the first one, was whenever they did the hi jacking, they did not use honda civics for racing or any other things BUT the hi jacking of the trucks.. so how is that immeasureable for honda? people went out, kids expiecally and bought MORE honda's.. thus starting "civic nation" either way it made honda money, and you have no idea what your talking about.. your just another bias tool that thinks every honda is gay, just because it says HONDA, you have no facts against why honda sucks? its sad, for me to make my contour faster then my honda, would take THOUSANDS of dollers... can't say the same for honduh's.. and yes hondas are econobox's... small, cheap, and ugly.. there not made to go fast, I guess alot of kids just like them to go fast, hey its cheap.. why not?
it cost me 1500 bucks total give or take 100 to put my car into the 14's.

Uh....this is exactly the point I was making. The first movie made Honda what it is today...
Why do I think Honda sucks? Who said I do? You, not me. Honda makes very reliable cars. They tend to last a long time, on the average. The S2000 is also a very nice car. It handles very well and I give them props for squeezing 240hp out of an N/A 2.0. But what I do hate is every 17 year old thinking if they buy a civic and add a muffler and spoiler they have an instant racecar capable of beating anything and everything on the road. I won't argue that at this point Hondas have great aftermarket support either. It's just that the whole teenage mentality that so often comes with driving a Honda, which I see so often living in a college town. Seriously, I'll swear there are more Civics with Altezzas than without in my town. The lights themselves aren't _THAT_ bad, but when those and maybe a muffler and wing are the ONLY mods, it's just retarded. Please, before labeling me, seek first to understand how I actually feel. And read an english book, it couldn't hurt.

I drive a honda, I'm 20's years old.. am I labeled under that category? I never said hondas suck.. and I do agree with you there are alot of young pukes who have destroyed the honda name.. honda is what it is, an econobox cheapo car.
why do kids throw huge spoilers and mellon shooters and altezzas? I don't know... I just hope I don't get categorized under these kids.. because I will admit, I drive a loud honda myself..

But you have actual mods. And your car is actually quick. You didn't buy a muffler off eBay for 15 dollars and claim it gave you 25 horsepower.
After thinking about the "polishing a turd" statement, that would apply more to modding a Cavalier or the like. In this case it's like taking a fine piece of crystal or a work of art and then rubbing crap all over it and claiming it's good because it took a lot of time to rub all that crap everywhere.

if you relate this to the original topic it makes no sense anyways... *thinks back at the APR evo*... *recalls how much money is put into and and how badly it would run other cars into the ground*
i do understand your statements on kids putting useless sound enhancing objects on the ass of their car but.. this thread really isn't about that... so lets not make it about that

I think that as educated Americans we should concentrate more on our word usage so that when we criticize people for being stupid we, at least do it intelligently. I'm not saying we all have to spell all words correctly because God knows I'm not a spelling B champion and I'm not picking on the person I am responding to in this post, because he didn't call anybody stupid, but I'm still about to go crazy with the missuse of simple words like, "there, their and they're," "then and than," and "its and it's." So, from now on be considerate to other users because, frankly, I'm starting to get a headache. p.s. I'm just f***ing with you all. p.s.s. But we really need to work on this word usage thing. It's more annoying than looking at these ricey cars.

P.P.P.S. I think we should throw comma usage in there too.
