I added the resistor and it did not light up. I only tried one led for test purposes with the resistor you suggested. Do all 4 leds need to be attached to make them work? So far, all I've done is replace the simpler single lock and window leds and as I stated before they work fine. Nothing else has been cut or spliced so I am confident that its not an outside short. At this point, I am completely lost. All the fuses are intact and even those little two red/green leds in the master switch light up. 
They are in a series, so if u ripped them all out and only put on back in, then it won't work, so ya they all need to be hooked up. I assume your talking about the drivers windown switch?
