DUDE That ROCKS!!!!! Now he needs to do Carol of The Bells by Transiberian! That has got to be some set-up similar to concert lighting. He probably just took a whole lot of light sequencers and set them up to different strands, put it in the garage and voila! That is what we will do this year...yeah...right LOL

Good stuff!!!

You're saying that wasn't real? I am pretty sure he did a light show with his computer...

If the above post is sarcasm, then please disregard the following ...

I personally feel that it was a compilation of clips taken by home video and clipped together. Reasoning: each time a certain 'shot' is shown, there is a light just to the left of the second floor of the house (probably the window of a house behind that one?).

If you look close, it looks like that light you see is the strobe off of the top of a radio tower or something similar. There doesn't appear to be a house behind that one, and it is not part of the house that the lights are on.

Thats what it is, a radio/airplane/cell phone tower.

But that was SWEET!

I personally feel that it was a compilation of clips taken by home video and clipped together. Reasoning: each time a certain 'shot' is shown, there is a light just to the left of the second floor of the house (probably the window of a house behind that one?). It is on every time certain particular shots are shown (for example: a certain clip where the icicle lights only are shown).

Additionally, I think creating such a show like that, even if it was a computer algorithm, would have been even more difficult than just taking shots of the lights at certain stages and editing those shots, since you'd have to hook up the light (via X10?) to the program and pray they turn on at the precise moment. It would also create a strain on the home circuitry flashing them on and off like that, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a circuit trip if a light show that complicated was done with home wiring.

I could be wrong. Actually, I'd like to be wrong, since that would be a wicked cool scene to see live.

watch the strobe on the left side...its time perfectly something that doubtfully could be achieved in editing

yeah... i was reading on one other site about these displays (link above) that alot of people set up security cameras (smart move considering that it is thousands of dollars in equipment) and that very well could be a camera.
