I was thinking about this the other night while driving home, and then I was enlightened. Actually my car just decided to fess up ad tell me what might be your bug. It was raining hard and all of a sudden I lost steering and my car started to pull to one side. I had to fight it to keep going straight while I pulled over.
Could it be that your serpentine belt is slipping when accelerating hard and as a result you lose your power steering?
I'll be buying a new belt tonight.
