They better! Most of the batteries have a warranty. I think some have a 12 month exchange or something like that. If my 3 week battery doesn't work, it probably was defective the day I bought it. At a minimum, they need to give you a brand new one (with you paying a few dollars pro-rata, if they are nasty about it).

Oh, and return the charger. You don't need one when you have a good battery and alternator.
