it should have a warranty, but even so, take it back and tell them it just drained and wont take a charge.
also, make sure that you hooked up all the electrical connections right. if the alternator isn't wired up to the battery right it wouldn't be able to charge, but then again, it wouldn't have taken three weeks to figure that one out. I think we already got it, dead battery
