You original TC went bad because it was not receiving enough pressure due to a worn bypass valve in the valve body. If you continue to drive it you will burn up the new converter. Bring it back to the shop and have them test the line, CT and front lube pressure before spending any more money. The CT pressure should be 85 ΓΆβ?¬β?? 100 psi at 55 with the TC locked (steady speed) and 55 ΓΆβ?¬β?? 85 psi when unlocked.

my torque converter is working , is just that when i come from the highway and stop at a light or a stop sign and come to a full stop , then i start to take off , it like slams into 1st gear the slams into 2nd gear but not as hard as the 1st gear , could my shift cable be off , cause the little sensor on the top of the tranny , that tells the computer what gear your in , cuase i guess your suppose to algin the d up with the rod that turns the sensor , , but i dont know its just very confusing
