Wash with Dawn and dry 30 minutes
Z18 Clay bar - depends on condition of paint 0.5-3h
Wash again and dry 30 minutes
3M Swril Mark Remover or Finesse it or Hand Glaze - again depends on condition of paint 0.5-3h
Wash again and dry 30 minutes
Z1 (don't take off) apply only 10 minutes
Z2 (now take off both) apply and take off 25 minutes, but must wait until completely dry which is 15min to 24h
Z6 detail on and off 10 minutes
Additional coats waiting 24h between coats
Wash with Z7 and dry 30 minutes
Z6 10 minutes
Z2 on and off 20 minutes, but must wait until dry agian 15m-24h
Z6 10 minutes
Needless to say, I don't do all steps on the same day or same time. And I usually drive another car if I have to let it dry or if I want additional coats in a few days.
Sounds like a lot of prep work, but the only extra step for Zaino vs anything else is using Z1, 10 minutes. Big deal if you're doing it right anyway. Keep in mind this procedure is only done once per year, and some steps could be skipped if you have no swirl marks for example and the surface don't need the clay.
When I got my current car in DEcember, I just washed my car, put some Z1 & Z2 on it, let it dry, took it off and some Z6. Total time of work was about an hour. I nthe next couple weeks I'll be doing it right, according to my above procedure.
