U , then NO you dont have to put a key in a lil box. you simply program it the same way as a key by putting to working keys in the ignition one by one until the theft light goes out and then removing them. however in the case of an immobilizer bypass module, the part 555U(thats U not F) or 556U(also U) is used, and requires a key to remain in the repeater box which travels to the igniton receiver. Oh, and I learned a lot of that when i became MECP security specialist...is that news too
