Just buy a hood scoop and put it on the hood directly above the air box the only thing you would have to do is remove some material from your hood. Put a seal around the air box and your finished. You could do this cheaply or go the more expensive route and mold the scoop into the hood like I did with my camaro. It's the best way to do what you are trying to accomplish. Trying to route a shop hose or anything for that matter is a waste of time and effort. This whole project should you do it will cost you from $60-$180 depending on where and what you get for your hood scoop. If you are really ambitious you could save a lot of money and create a mold and make your own. As an idea you might want to look at the scoops on the older Mazda RX7's.
