If you're talking about APT's car I'm not sure you realize what you are looking at. APT owns a Lexus IS300, otherwise known as the Altezza in Japan, hence where the "altezza" style tailights originated. Considering that this was the car that originated the design they are about the only car that I find them to be acceptable on.
As for saying they look like tails off a Neon? I don't even know what to say to that comment.
