explain the benefit of having Chevrolet branded on a Corvette car. no one even refers to Corvettes as Chevy's anymore. if GM had the beat of the consumer, they'd scrap the Chevy label and spin the brand off on its own.

Car #1: a small hardtop convertible Boxster/Elise competitor
Car #2: the current C6/C7/etc...with all of today's trimmings
Car #3: a supercar based on the C6 or variants to compete with 911 GT series, Ferraris, Gallardo, GTR, etc... Maybe offer the Callaway as a model package in limited numbers with factory service support?

all with the same corporate DNA: superior handling, sport looks, powerful engines, tunability, "ClubSport" stripped down models for the track, etc, etc...

essentially make the Corvette more than the *ultimate* sport car, but the *ultimate* sport brand!
