OP jdfet_dup1 New CEG\'er J Joined: Jun 2002 Posts: 34	I have the 96 tour.....2.0?....anyway, when I start it I hear what sounds like marbles in a can coming from the engine. It seems to be from the passenger side. Water pump maybe? Its been like that since I bought it almost 3 years ago and it only had 10,000 on it then. It hasnt gotten worse but is still anoying. Any ideas? Also, does anyone know of any links that I can check out regarding the instalation of an after market tach? Thanx

Seeing as the 2.5L V6 has a chain and the 2.0L 4cyl. is a belt, are you sure the car is a 2.0L? sysanalyst New CEG\'er S Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 47	Does that sound go away when the AC system is turned to the off position? Seems like the compressor makes that same noise on my 98 2.0 Zetec only when the AC compressor is engaged. Compressor was replaced 2 years back.
