I did this right after I got my car about 2 years ago and all I did was wash it, tape it off, and spray paint it. I Washed the parts good, dried them, taped very carefully around the relectors and painted. I covered the rest of the car in newspaper to avoid any overspray hitting the paint, but for a 3 dollar can of black spraypaint and a half hours work maybe ... it was sure the tightest looking cheap mod I have done. Here is a pic: ... that's just my opinion ... no streaks and still looks good to htis day. You really don't need to take them off and go through that whole long process. Jared.
