I have DirecTV. My only gripe is the pricing on the HD Tivo unit is still pretty high (approx. $500), and there are no incentive programs that I know of for when you first sign up. However, if you were to go Tivo on one tv and an HD reciever on another, the cost seems to be much less. No real gripes about loss of service. Like was previously said, we don't lose it that much, and when we do, there is some serious weather overhead.
BTW, we're within 20 miles or so of each other, so what applies to me, most likely applies to you as well regarding weather.

HTH!

Oh. Another thing I remember. A co-worker has Dish DVR. His has 2 outputs and RF remotes, so you can run the DVR to 2 separate tv's and watch DVR programming off one unit. He seems to like it pretty good. Might look into that.
