1998 Contour LX 2.0 . I just replaced the temperature sensor that hooks up to the temperature gauge, now the gauge works again, however, now when I drive it the gauge goes all the way up to the red. I turned on the A/C while I was driving and the gauge dropped down to normal. When I got home I let it idle and the fans came on. Is there something that I am missing? Is there some way to make the fans come on sooner without turning on the A/C?
