So like the title says I test drove a 1999 CSVT on the weekend and have a couple of questions about a couple of things I noticed.
The clutch seemed to grab higher in the peddle travel than the Mystique does. I remember back when I had my 'tour that it's clutch would grab higher when releasing the peddle that the 'stique would but I can't remember how high. The clutch peddle in the 'stique seems to travel about 50% of the way before you can feel the clutch grab, where this SVT seemed to travel about %80 of the distance before grabbing. I think this is normal but just want to check.
Also, going over the service records on the car, it had been in to have tie rod end(s) replaced 3 times. Are these common on SVT's or could it be some other problem. The car only has 75,000km on it (46,000 miles) so 3 times being replaced seems like a lot.
The rest of the car was in great shape, minus the dash warp which they're going to fix.
