My alarm locks my doors when I start the engine. Normally, this is no problem, but I guess over time, my opening the driver's door when it was locked has weakened the handle itself. I pulled on it the other day, not hard or jerky, just like normal and I hear a "snap". Course we all know what that means, the freakin plastic handle broke inside the door. The handle is still there and the spring pulls it into the door (it doesn't just hang there), but the door won't open. I have to lower the window and open the door from the outside. The dealer wants (sit down if you're standing) $120 or so just for the part. I guess I can go to a junk yard for the piece once I figure out what it is. My question is has anyone else had this happen and how big of a deal is it to fix?
