Too bad turbos aren't legal in California. I'm going to have to call Arnold and clear this obvious mistake up! Karl

IIRC they didn't use the Duratec. They used the Mazda V6. The rules allowed it because the engine belinged "in the Ford family."

All i ask is not to be disrespected as some one new to this board. As i said befor i know to search on the boards, but what i searched for returned no results. I just wish people would not jump to conclusions.

Ray, i respect the work you do on here. But some one out there knows something about the tour, the origional post was to ask what combination of thing would need to be done to make 300 WHP. Not just can it be done.

Understandable..
And all of those things could have been located with a search, though possibly with different terms than you may have known to use.
a moot point, either way..
Yes.. there is a possibility to do so.. its been done. Suniel had a 2.5 with over 400 crank HP. a couple others are running close to 300 wheels.
It is EXPENSIVE, and NOT for the faint-of-heart.

Faint of heart im not, use to drive a rail dragster.
I am usually a V8 man give me a 426 Hemi and i can make it do 1600 at the crank, but the tour is something of a diffrent beast.
