Nothing you do to your dtrain is gonna help make 300whp.
And if you want to make 300whp with a vortech. You will need to either 3.0 it. Or rebuild the 2.5 with lower compression pistons.(waste of time if you ask 75% of the people on this board) You will also need a much smaller pulley a custom dyno tune, and last but but not least an intercooler. And when your pulling the motor to do a 3.0 thats when you NEED to put a lsd.

Anything can be done if you have deep enough pockets. I seem to recall that the SuperTouring BTCC Mondeos made 300 natural HP and that was from only 2 liters. Karl

i think even if you put smaller compression pistons on a 2.5L, i dont think you could even run a small enough pulley to make 300 whp.

Nightwolf:
you searched... and found nothing....
hmm... you post and ask about it.. and the answer to "what can be done to make 300hp?", is: (get this...) nothing..
Looks like your search worked, then, huh?

Nightwolf, Shaggy wasnt trying to get all pissy with you. The information is out there. Currently, the highest hp tour is making 401 whp from a 2.5L turbo. Yes the drivetrain is holding up. At a bare minimum youll need a torsen or quaife and an upgraded clutch. Its all been posted in the dyno and drag and forced induction forum.
Btw, im making probably about 330 whp with my daily 10 psi setting, and my car is holding up nicely.
