It must have been an article in the early 90's Had a Dinan 735i in the comparo also. My Legacy GT could now keep up with most of the sedans in the comparo. Vauxhall and Opel are basically the same thing. Vauxhall is the UK name, Opel is the European. I remember reading a press statement from Lotus years ago when this car was still pretty new. They mentioned that the car was in fact very 'dumbed down' and that there was a tonne of performance waiting to be unleased.
