I need to replace the front pads and rotors on my 96 GL.
I'm formiliar with doing brakes , but not the specifics of a Contour.

Are the rotors seperate from the hub and bearings or are the bearings press fit or problematic in any way?

Are the calipers easy to remove? Sliders or bolts?

Other than the pads and rotors, do I need to get anything else?

I did them two weeks ago, and they were not that hard. But I guess I didn't do them totally right, since one was hanging badly.

The rotors come off of the hub. They arn't pressed on or anything. There may be some clips on the threads to keep the rotor against hte hub.

The calipers are pretty easy to remove, there are two 15mm bolts on the back of them.

I would get some slider pin grease also.

I hope that if any of this is wrong, somebody will correct me... but it should all be right, I am running on memories of taking them off yesterday.
