how can you state this when the SIC hasn't finished the investigation on the use of available intel by the bush admin? this is the problem. they only completed half of the investigation! why? because of pressure from the republican members to hold off on phase 2 of the investigation until after the '04 election. the phase 2 that hasn't started yet.

you do know that approx 20% of the original report was censored by the administration right? you do know that three versions of the report on iraq were prepared right? all of them concluded to a point that saddam was a threat, but the first classified version apparently had many reservations. a declassified version that was given to congress erased most of the doubts. and an even shorter public version eliminated all the doubts! why is that?

it doesn't tell us how so much negative assessment got left out or how the bush admin came to make public statements that contradicted information that was readily available to administration. why is that?

hopefully a COMPLETED investigation by the SIC will lead us to those answers. until then be careful of trying to place all the blame on the intel agencies. i think it's unfair and innacurate. hopefully we'll find out at some point.
