High HC, sounds like as was said before. Bad plug, wire or something.

A friend of mine blew over way high on HC. Found a loose plug so the one cylinder had incomplete combustion and was sending the rest out the tail pipe.


I just had mine done today. I was worried since it's at 200K and when I got it had a blown head gasket. I ran through some good block sealant and replaced plugs (originals), wires (originals), filters, etc. Thing blew highest % was .01. NOX and HC were both single digit. I was surprised, although the garage has a TV hooked into the test machine and you can watch the test as it is running. Too bad I have to wait until Monday to get plates now.
