I would pay for a 1900X1200 17"... I'm currently running 1280X1024 on a 17" which is the max i've ever seen a 17" desktop monitor...
The Laptop screens that can do that high of a resolution are WUXGA. Lookup the price on a replacement screen for said laptop and you'll quickly see why they aren't flooding the market with desktop versions.
Like i said, I'd pay whatever amount to get that kind of resolution from a 17". But noone makes any...
