Lets try a little of your own logic here. Abortion is legal in this country but you are still allowed to believe it's wrong and not participate because you have a choice. (The use of the word "choice" is not to be construed as a reason, segway or excuse to turn this into an abortion debate.)
As far as it being a law that promotes hetero marrage...well you can plant that in the garden and have a wonderful crop of BS blossoms next year cause that's about all that's good for!
