Yep.
Who knows what it would lead to. But when the basis of an argument is that anyone who loves someone should be able to marry them, it's open for expansive interpretation. For example, what if two brothers want to marry? If they truly love each other, and they're free-willing adult humans, shouldn't they be able to get married? They wouldn't be harming your or my marriage.

I don't doubt at all that someone would try this, but it would be quickly flushed out the judicial system.
They said that about gay marriage 100 years ago.

it wouldnt suprise me. you have heard of California, havent you??
there's a group of tards up north that are pushing for legally changing "pets" to "companions"
not to mention, if there's some sicko thats wacky enough to stick his johnson inside a dog or sheep, why wouldnt he be wacked enough to want to marry it? with the crazy ish that people do in this world, nothing really suprises me anymore.

I think at the end of the day I'd like to hear what exactly has been made better by this law. How has society been improved?
PS. Please don't bother with the slippery slope stuff... I have no problem limiting marriage to "two consenting adults."

Is that a requirement for an amendment to a constitution?

If she's considered an adult in your state and she's consenting, then why not?

A legal requirement for a state or federal constitution? No. But ideally that's why people would want to create laws, seeing as it's basically the main role of government in a constitutional republic. Which is why I asked.

You do know that this was voted on, right?
Yes, and once again the majority inflicts it's idiotic will on the minority.
Hell, maybe we can get 'bama to try for a Constitutional Amendment to allow for slavery.

That's where your wrong.
A rock can't love anyone. A dog can't consent. It's when two people LOVE EACH OTHER and consent to the marriage or union or whatever.
And quite frankly if two brothers want to get married. WTF do I care? I don't.
