It's all about how many cylinders you've got running to a muffler. Most small four cylinder engines will all sound pretty much the same running into the same model fart can. I don't know if it matters if they have a header or not. There's a guy running a Viper near where I work that has a modified exhaust. When he goes by, I can only hear one of the side pipes (the one I'm closest to naturally) and it almost sounds like a four cylinder into a fart can even though there's five cylinders feeding into that one pipe. If you didn't see the car you might swear that a Honda had just gone by. If you watch any Touring Car (Speed Channel) Racing you can hear that most of the cars all sound pretty much the same - the four bangers anyway. Karl
