Does anyone know where I can get a decent price for OEM plug wires? My Ford Racing ones are starting to crap out on me after 5 months of use. I went to the local Ford and the parts guy quoted me $132 for some wires. Does that sound outrageous to you guys? I was expecting $50-60 for them. Any suggestion for a better price?

Thanks a lot. I called another about a minute ago and they wanted $116. Saved me some money.
EDIT: I can't find them in the catalog. Are there any other plug wires that are as good as stock?

you should be able go to AAP and get Motorcraft wires...
N/M they want 77 bucks for'em now.
Did the FRPP wires go up in price? I only paid ~50 for mine...

Well...I thought my car been intermittently misfiring around 6000rpm. I felt it hiccup at the trackday but I eventually forgot about it. So I took it to my Ford guy who runs a tuning company out of a local dealership. We put it on the dyno to make sure I wasn't imagining things.
Sure enough at ~6000rpm the hp line took a wild dip for about 400rpm. The graph itself was very jumpy and not smooth. Aric immediately said it was the plug wires. He said that the FRPP wires are hit and miss with the Contours and Focuses he's put them on. So I took his advice and I'm putting the OEM ones on.

It seems his advice is the same as mine (as mine has been for years) they are... hit or miss.. pardon the pun (with wires) Some people LOVE them.. others hate them for a GOOD reason.
I won't use them (again), personally.
