I wouldn't worry about a Vulcan being abused My family has a 99 and a 02 w/ a Vulcan. They work wonderful. Cannot kill them if you tried. Trust me my mom is hard on acceleration. Shes's never hurt it yet. I read several stories with the 3.0 that its been ran down to barly any oil or none at all and it still runs(not that I would try it).
