Sorry but I've beaten up quite a few of those as loaners. I know the dealer says it was taken care of but how would they know? It's not like they're in the car when it's loaned out. On the flip side, the car is fairly new and you have a warranty so it should be fine. Congrats on the purchase.

Honestly, if the car looks nice and only 4800 miles on it... WHO CARES?!? if I were in his situation I would have done the exact same thing. I know a girl who has a 2000 Dodge Neon she got that used to be a loaner, had 70K miles on it. Runs and drives wounderfully. I mean, even with 4800 miles on it, if they were abused. Any HUGE problems will show up WELL before 7 years or 75K miles. Kev, I say you made one hell of a good choice, im sure you got a great deal. So what if its not a duratec? It has low miles and a good reliable engine, that taurus will last you YEARS. Besides, why does it matter if he got a duratec or not, yeah they are sweet engines... but is it only for the concept of POWER? IN which case im probably thinking that people saying that would rank on the engine any chance they got, in which case they would drive it like it still were a rental car for those people who DO abuse it. Rental car companies also have that new technology that they put into their cars where they can monitor where you took the car and how fast you went there/how hard you worked the engine. So they very well could know if it was abused or not.

Nice looking Taurus!!! Mine is now 10, and I still love it, its been awesome for me, had it for 2 years now, mid 70's for mileage... Oh yeah, and I have the Vulcan... no power, but an awesome car overall!! Although nothing compared to a Contour
The ride? Don't ask
Taken? Yes
The boy? NorMich99SE
And yes, I love his car, but can't wait for my own Contour...
How about a Green SVT?!
I'll be looking come the end of 06
Oh, the ideas!!

A little different. The 92 Tempo GLS had 140 HP and the 05 Taurus has 153 HP.
