OP 96tourkid CEG\'er 9 Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 122	I do like those 6's. People seem to be big fans. I've been looking at the Mercury Cougar. I love the style/design and the interior/dash are very similair to the Contour. Unfortunately everything I read on them says they aren't that great a car... Reviews say an Eclipse, or Avenger is a better pick up. I come from a family of Ford cars. Dad's always had an explorer, big AWD V8 very nice truck. Of course mom is driving the Windstar. And I have my Contour. I've never driven a Mercury...and isn't Mercury like Ford's little sister? (That's gonna piss off some Mystique owners) Anyone have a cougar? Or can tell me about them?

I plan on eventually bring the car back to mint, and I mean mint. It'll be kind of like a weekend car with my daily driver being either a Lexus IS300 or Ford Lightning.

BrApple_dup1 Hard-core CEG'er B Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 6,910 Enfield, CT	at this point in time I don't see any other cars in my future. the mystique is running strong and doesn't have any issues with going about 160 miles a day the contour I am extremely happy with, it is everything I wanted it to be. both cars will be rebuilt when the engines die as long as the body is in good shape. sure i will most likely move to a Audi or BMW sometime in the future but at this time I am not thinking about it still would love a SVT some day, came close the other weekend but could not justify it will just signing a lease for an apartment and needing to furnish it while getting a few more dollars in the bank in case I need it - 95 Mystique LS - Zetec/5spd - 99 Contour SeVT Sport - Duratec/5spd Official NE-CEG Contour/Mustang Family

Hopefully the tour will prove me wrong. I'm going to drive it till it doesn't run anymore. And now I'm not going to swap a 3L in if the engine goes or buy a rebuilt tranny. My parents and I have been discusing cars for awhile my top 3 choices are 1. Lexus IS300 (3L, 5 Speed, NOT the godawful Sport Design) 2. Lincoln LS (V8 of course) 3. I'm looking forward to moving up to a Contour - hopefully a green SVT (I have a thing for forest green cars, don't know why). Truly the Contour will be a step up for me after an automatic Taurus, then an 03 Cobra, Black Convertible... Then maybe another Mustang or two... then who knows, whatever I feel like!!!! The ride? Don't ask Taken? Yes The boy? NorMich99SE And yes, I love his car, but can't wait for my own Contour... How about a Green SVT?! I'll be looking come the end of 06 Oh, the ideas!!
