Actually, Allied-Signal WAS the manufacturer...the FRAM brand is now owned by Honeywell Consumer Products...they recently packed up the whole FRAM operation and moved it from Providence RI to Danbury CT. Don't know what happened to all the employees, but I can imagine a lot of people probably didn't want to relocate their families...BOO HISS on Honeywell...

As a recovering FRAM-aholic, I now use nothing but Motorcraft filters on Ford products and WIX or NAPA Gold (they're the same thing) on any other car I care about. I use SuperTech filters from Wally World on the hoopty, they're actually quite good for an inexpensive filter used for a short (3-5k) OCI.
