Maybe not completely, but I believe it's the responsibility of everyone to make it less of an issue, that's all. If he makes a comment, it's your responsibility to downplay it as a boarder. IIRC, there's still places that don't allow boards. It's the demographic associated w/ 'em, and the kids "cussing out" some old man (that for all you know owns the place or is on a commity there) instead of ignoring it and going away.
I of all people know how to be a f***er. At the same time, in the case you're referring to, I wouldn't blame skiers as a whole; just that guy, that happens to be on skis.
IMHO, more guys on boards can't get on/off a chair than skiers. That's why on dismount i'm the first one up and off that chair. I hate it when some ass monkey's tail comes swinging out into my 900$ setup . For some reason these morons try to put their loose foot down instead of just planting it on a stomp pad and sliding down the ramp.
Case in point: eurotour and chang. Sorry guys, but you blow at getting off a chair.
