michigan is big though, i've you've made a long enough drive to realize it. from Detroit to Marquette (upper peninsula) is a good 6.5 hour drive. and then it's another 2 to the Wisconsin border.

The fastest i ever made it from Iron Mountian to Detroit was 7.5 and marquette is the same distance if not slightly farther. and Wisconsin only 5 mins from Iron Mountian
like 80 all the way up 75, and then maybe 65 all the way west. actually got out of a ticket on M28 from going 73 (i think) in a 55, cuz he saw i was from 'down south.'
i thought that was kinda funny, apparently the LP of michigan is actually considered 'down south' to the yoopers.
