A timeout is exactly what you give your kids.
Your hood prop post was clearly against the rules of the site. Many people view this site from work and can get in a lot of trouble for having pics like that on their screens.
As for the locked threads in this particular forum, well I usually add an explanation before I lock them so if you're curious about something EGL specific i suggest you PM about it.
