I agree that this forum should be shut down. While the majority of my CEG participation takes place in CI, I can safely say that it is a wasteland for immaturity and disrespect. Unfortunately, it would probably spill over to the general forums. There really is no viable exit strategy, kind of like the Iraq "war". I would say nominate me to be moderator, so that I can ban everyone, but that would be like nominating harriet miers to the supreme court.

Translation: I always make an ass out of myself in political/religious discussions, so if you take away Common Interests I would make an ass out of myself less.
I find it interesting that all who want the CI forum deleted because of the political/religious discussions are the ones who almost always end up on the losing end of said debates, or don't participate.

the reason most of us dont participate is because political/religious discussions get old fast so we choose not to participate. Hints why we want them banned or moved to a different section.

Also, P0420 and "My car won't start" threads get old, but I just ignore them and definitely don't advocate getting rid of the Troubleshooting section.
