I put in my leave request today but as it stands right now, there are too many people taking leave. I now need to butter up my higher ups to see if I can get those days off.

call in sick. "cough, I can't come in today or for the rest of the week. I'm far away and I'm ill."
I feel sorry for the people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, thats the best they're going to feel all day - former President Lyndon B. Johnson

I'll do you one better. By the end of the fiscal year, I'll have a little over 2 1/2 weeks of use or lose leave. That means that if I don't takle that vacation time, I loose it for good and the Air Force doesn't like that to happen. So, what I'm going to do, maybe, is cancel some leave in January that way I'll have to get it later. They can't tell me when I can take it, just whether or not it's approved at that time. Oh yeah, one other thing, I'll take priority over everyone else too.

*sigh*
Well, it looks like we may not make it at this point. I'm going to be heading in for surgery somewhere in the near future to hopefully cure my sleep apnea. What this means for my vacation time, I'm not sure.
I'll keep you guys updated, that's for sure!

damn dude! I didn't know you had sleep apnea too! good luck with that and let us know how it goes.
We're pretty convinced a friend of ours has sleep apnea, and every now and then we try to urge him to get looked at. He's too darn stubborn. I'd like to someday be armed with more info on the topic so I can badger him more.
