Body shop near me said it would cost $100 to get it painted. Sounded a bit high, but they said they would do something to get the paint to stick to the plastic, and that it costs a bit more to do toredor red because it is metallic. Is it metallic? Any thoughts?

Ok, I just found out that it is metallic. Still $100 seems a bit high.

Or you could do it yourself for like $20...

You can do it yourself. Get yourself a spray can of color-matched paint and clearcoat here: PaintScratchBuy a can of plastic primer from the local auto store, lightly sand the plastic and prime it. Paint and clear coat according to the directions from PaintScratch. Easy job.

What? $60?? It is like $20 for the paint, $5 for clearcoat, and a few dollars for sandpaper. $30 or $35 on the high end, but not anywhere close to $60.

25 for paint, 11 for clearcoat, 9 for shipping and then what ever else, so like 50 or so.
