Are you talking about Kerry trying to pass himself off as a war hero, but it being revealed that he wasn't quite who he said he was? The difference between this and Bush is that Kerry tried to make himself out to be something he wasn't back in the Vietnam War. It was such a large part of the campaign that who he was back then actually became significant. If he hadn't tried to ram the Vietnam War hero thing down our throats, the Swift Boat Veterans would have been irrelevant.
If Bush was claiming what a clean and sober person he was back when he was younger, then that part of his past becomes relevant.
Nice try, though.
And to elaborate the "I'm a War Hero! I'm a War Hero!" and the lack of him releasing his military records, makes you wonder....
