Agnostic...I'm not athiest and I think athiest is too close minded. I am open to the idea of God and even religion.
Then what's the problem with Bush? Because he's open about his faith? His morals and values are stemmed from his religon, I don't think his beliefs have affected his decision making anymore than his Texas Ass-Kicking mentality..
I'm still upset about the stem cell research.

Sorry, Ted Kennedy beat him to it and he's got a fatalitity tied to his name over it as well.
Nice try, though.

I didn't make any claims about Kennedy's morality.
However, in your response, you acknowledge Bushes morality, or lackthereof.
Nicy try, though.

The difference is that Bush has put the sauce and the powder behind him.
Uncle Teddy is still hitting it pretty hard (well, one of them) from what I understand, though he hasn't drowned anyone in a while...
Thanks for playing.

But it was ok to judge Kerry by his past when it was election time? So double-standards are ok, but only when it benefits Republicans?

Double standards suck, however I think that in this case, Kerry by his 'flip-flopping,' just like he did back in the day shows his character..or lack thereof...

Are you talking about Kerry trying to pass himself off as a war hero, but it being revealed that he wasn't quite who he said he was? The difference between this and Bush is that Kerry tried to make himself out to be something he wasn't back in the Vietnam War. It was such a large part of the campaign that who he was back then actually became significant. If he hadn't tried to ram the Vietnam War hero thing down our throats, the Swift Boat Veterans would have been irrelevant.
If Bush was claiming what a clean and sober person he was back when he was younger, then that part of his past becomes relevant.
Nice try, though.
