After stumbling across some dated pictures, why not post a Throwback Thread. To a limit of FIVE PICTURES, show us all how you've progressed with the car. Or, show the car in it's prime days (for the trolls). I guess I'll start

Notice a blue oval, stock exhaust and stock winter SE hubcaps. What a winter too Most of it has actually melted when this pic was taken!

Winter 2004, after installing some new ignition wires. Needs more cold air intake

The install of the CAI/SVT TB~ before actually cleaning up for the pic, or before swapping on black rubber couplings to match It is sad that this pic was taken at our last local meet.. needs more local meets

Some caliper painting some weeks before SZ'05 iirc..

The car cleaned up and final modifications have been made for SZ'05.. (including wheels, but not shown. Also had some bodywork done)

Finally, after the trip to and from SZ'05, the Contour loses the shades.. *Edit, and Changs suggested placement of the contour.org banners on each pillar of the windshield

Now show away!

OK here we go. The history's not too long.

Stock except for exhaust.

New wheels.

The headlights. I can finally see!

Best mod yet. The Koni Sport kit! I'm crawlin' similar to an ant 'cause I'm low to the Earth.

Here's the life and times of project "Blackout"
(theres more done than listed....just listed what i recall of top of my head, more info in Profile)

Bought the car in March of 2004 for $3400 with 106k miles(was driven cross country for buisness by the previous(and first) owner. Car ran like it had 40k on it TOPS.

De-badged the car, knauberized, removed front plate mount, added side markers and did some maintanance stuff. Painted front oval and rear reflector, powdercoated stock wheels black, added black mesh. Clear corners with white turn signal bulbs.

Ditched the "ford" sticker, picked up a spoiler-less trunk lid, also added Koni's, B&G 1.6" springs, camber kits and an aussie bar, spherical end links, upgraded rear subframe. Added pre-98 sail panels, replaced painted reflector with tinted tails and tinted side markers. Finally painted and installed wheel center caps. S2000 antenna and signal amp.

Added SVT UIM\TB and intake tube, KKM MAF adapter, K&N ru-3530, Custom gold engine powdercoating(on suspension parts as well). Built a full mandrel bent 2.5" y-pipe back exhaust with optimized Y. Short shifter, painted interior door panels and floor trim black\grey two-tone. Built a custom fitted trunk box for 12" sub.

Picked up some EO's and OEM CF hood with Sparco Pins, ditched the camber kits. Custom dash pod for 2-5/8" oil pressure gauge.

Sadly, now that i've picked up an SVT the SE will stay just as it is now and be a daily driver, as my time and money will be put into the SVT.....which i'm hoping to debut to CEG fully finished at SZ06 to blow some minds.

Fall 2001:

Spring 2005:

So, to recap ... um ... almost no mods in 4.5 years ... but I did get a newer camera.

Removed American flag stickers in rear window, added Apple sticker up top center, debadged dealer sticker, added Clifford Matrix responder alarm with rear-mounted antenna, added Aiwa piece of junk HU (later replaced by my sister with a much better Alpine). New license plates (I LOVED my original tags, too bad they were under my parents' name and MA doesn't allow transfers ).

Goonz you need to get a set of rims ASAP. You got the look goin but personally, those rims just ain't doin it for ya.

To continue with the whoring:

One day old (for me anyway)

Sportin the tint, first exhaust, and those mudflaps baby yeah

Showing off the new rims, SE sideskirts, and billit fuel door

Today with new exhaust, CEG vinal (thinking about removing it again), tinted tails, and a lot of other interior/sound work
