I distrust anyone who makes stupid and/or irrelevent claims:

to wit:

Quote:

98.6% of airborne dust in initial efficiency (up to 99.4% cumulative or average efficiency), and filters down to ONE MICRON of particulate!

Uh... yeah, it DOES as the filter gets fuller with dirt... but even my 99 cent furnace filter catches the odd micron

This means longer engine life, because your seals wont blow out from excessive dirt

Bull hockey! When's the last time you've heard of that?!!!

MAYBE before they started using closed-crankcase technology... really nothing to do with how 'good' their filter is.

If your seals blow out due to "excessive dirt" you have real problems far before that happening!

# No oil means no warranty issues from oil traveling along the inlet and clogging the MAF sensor

Uh... the problem isnt the "oil traveling", it's the VOC's from the oil depositing on the sensor. Which doesnt get 'clogged' but 'coated'

Sorry...I dont see any cost/benefit over what I can pick up at NAPA.

I've got a 93 TBIRD 3.8, 25 mpg hiway, 210kmiles, uses 1 qt/3000, cleaned the MAF once, and I change the air filter when I cant see light thru it!
